We got a room of decent size and a shared bathroom. The owner came with an umbrella to accompany us out of our cab and spare us a welcome tropical shower. Nice location near the Makiki mountain/forest, nearby hikes are possible. The place is somewhat old and rundown... Far from Waikiki or even downtown, if that is what you are looking for. Very limited bus service - don't rely on it. No large luggage can be taken in the busses anyway. Taxi to airport or to Waikiki is 40 dollars. Some guy was watching TV and sleeping in the couch in the lobby just next to our room...weird (and a bit noisy). The local environment is not as quiet as one may expect. The local roosters started singing/shouting as early as 3am (the cats too, but they are less noisy). Be sure to carry your earplugs!
I don't know. We didn't get a chance to stay there because they over booked and canceled on us with less than a week to make alternate arrangements. They offered to book us into the Pacific Ohana Hostel so we took it. Wish we hadn't because it seemed to be about equal with a crack den. The fact that they overbooked and set us up in a crack den.
Bathroom was clean. It is not only a room, but it has a full kitchen and dining room - shared. It was very dirty and very noisy early morning becouse of the roosters and cats.
So if you would rather enjoy a cheaper place to crash for a next to nothing price in Honolulu. I would suggest this Apt/house, but I'll warn fellow travelers in advanced if you are sensitive to wildlife or immersing yourself in a place that is secluded in the woods. Well, then this isn't the place for you. If not, then go and enjoy your next to nothing cost stay that includes kitchen, living room, and Direct Tv. You know what, I actually challenge you to find a cheaper means if visiting on vacation is all you wish too do. Enjoy though and safe travels :) I enjoyed it all!!!!
I didn't like anything It was so dirty, small, noisy and really far from all beaches
