Family next to us was loud
Accessible Two of the girls from our group were stuck in a broken elevator for over an hour.
The convenience of being connected to the mall. Wasn't informed of the construction prior to booking, rooms looked out dated and beds uncomfortable and old for what you pay. There is always an incredibly long line for the elevators! The staff were friendly but not near enough vallet/concierge staff! They always looked stressed and wouldn't let me bring my own luggage to my room! Instead they wanted me to leave it in he front entrance unattended and they would bring it up when they could .... Not a chance!
Beds are comfortable, room was large and clean. Check in was terrible, the counter person didn't give us all the information and our room wasn't ready
We had no place to put a baby with a crib and they had no cribs...
Ease and comfort. We had no running water on arrival, but we did get to check in a little early.
Had asked for a king bed only got a queen
The location being at the mall is excellent. Feels old, with poor staff.
Fantasyland is a convenient stay for the whole family. While my kids were at the water park (passes r cheaper at the front desk), I was able to shop (don't expect any great deals at this mall). My family also enjoyed the theatres. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. I had great sleeps on the bed. With so many families there for the Taylor Swift concert, I was surprised the hotel didn't arrange a shuttle to Rexall Place. We ended up having to leave a day early so we lost money on our booking thru Kayak. The hotel didn't offer us a reduction for our next stay
Location What you pay is no where near the value. Over priced
They comped us to a larger room free of charge. Great service at front desk. Good discounts at the attractions if you buy then at the desk. Comfy beds and very clean. Not much to complain about.... the decor is a little dated but I kinda liked the cheesy 80's design.
Fast service at the desk and the room was very comfortable and clean. Was right across the street from the shopping mall, which is where we wanted to go. Fast check out, clean lobby, friendly staff.
I went to the West Edmonton Mall Inn as a replacement for the Fantasy Land Hotel. The rooms were clean and nicely set up. Not extravegant but a great place to stay if going in for a Buisness Trip. I would also say that this would be a great place for families to stay if they are not spending a whole lot of time in their rooms. It is right across the street from West Edmonton Mall so very close to shopping, waterpark, amusement park, theater, restraunts, etc. but cheaper then stay at the Mall. Was not able to access internet, one employee told me sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. You have to pay for everything (telephone use- even local calls, internet, office supplies- fax, copier, ect)
close to West Edmonton Mall first time (and we travel alot) I heard that internet cost 8.50no resturantor coffee shop
The fact that it was across the street from West Edmonton Mall, and that the rates were fairly reasonable. I was hoping that there would be a complimentary coffee station in lobby, as well as free wifi in the room.
Close to West Ed Mall. Room service would be nice.
The location and price are good, its also a very clean hotel and the staff are all nice. The staff at the front desk didn't always seem to know what they were doing. Because there was 4 of us in a room, they go confused and would just hand out room keys to our room to anyone that would ask for one. One of my guy friends couldn't remember what room number we were in so the front desk guy just told him and on top of that gave him a key to get into our room. Good thing it was our friend and not a stranger! at one point I had to cancel all the keys for my room and ask for JUST 4 and had to tell them not to give out any more room keys. Something like this seems like common sense to me, why would you give a room key to someone who isn't even staying in the room?
