Fordeler: The staff was super friendly.The gardens are beautiful. The breakfast wonderful.

Fordeler: From the beautiful location to the exceptional customer service, our stay was dreamlike. Mel and Suzette at Bamboo Spa delighted us with their amazing skill and open smiles. The Arcadas restaurant was a memorable experience, with every dish showing an Incredible attention to detail and complexity of flavours seldom encountered. Caroline and Luis walked us through this experience and we couldn't have asked for better guides. Worth mentioning the care and attention of all the front desk staff who were incredible helpful. Would definitely return!

Fordeler: Staff tried hard

Ulemper: Very tired hotel. Carpets were dirty and smelled musty and in one part of vomit. Furniture was cheap and didnt look clean.

Fordeler: The grounds were very nice, the room size was great and the breakfast was excellent. We had the opportunity to spend time with Augusto in the lounge and he was over the top friendly and very helpful - an excellent host!

Fordeler: Standard large modern 3* business hotel, in quiet side street not far from station and old town. Clean and comfortable room with bathtub and good wifi.

Ulemper: Bit of a smell of stale cigarette smoke; weather was mild, so was able to keep window open all night, and otherwise no complaints.

Fordeler: Pool was perfect, enjoyed playing ping pong, there is also some gym equipment. Location is ideal to either easily walk into town or walk to the beautiful park in the other direction. Great for people who love to go running in the morning. Easy walk to either of the two train stations as well. Super comfortable bed!!!!

Ulemper: Breakfast buffet was a bit basic, but overall ok.

Fordeler: The food at the restaurant was horrible. They should serve real portuguese dishes . Gourmet dishes should be avoide. A true disaster . Good hotel terrible and expensive restaurate

Fordeler: Very friendly and helpful staff. Every effort was taken to make us feel happy and comfortable during our stay. Excellent breakfast served in the morning. It is a charming hotel in a business district.

Fordeler: Near the bus station. Easy to get in and out All the staff were very helpful. Room was great. Has a swimming pool.

Ulemper: A little far from center of town . 15 minute walk. Some of the younger staff at the reception desk need a little more training in how to get around the city.

Fordeler: This is an exceptional nice hotel. Everything was excellent but especially the lovely, friendly, and very helpful staff. I had a very large room and can find no fault

Ulemper: The property is excellent, no faults

Fordeler: The room was large enough and well-maintained. Very comfortable bed. Great small spa. Excellent massage service

Ulemper: The location is a bit far from everything in a commercial kind of zone.

Fordeler: Staff very helpful and friendly.

Ulemper: The window was directly to the middle of the street, with no privacy.

Fordeler: Location, clean, breakfast and staff

Ulemper: All good

Fordeler: Good size apartment. Very large for two people. Well equipped and in a separate building form the main hotel.

Ulemper: Smell of rotting wood from a building site next door flowing in through the stairwell window. Steep, stone staircase leading the apartment. No extractor fan in bathroom. Bathroom windows not sealed and no heating caused the room to be very cold at night. Breakfast was minimal and ‘hot’ foods were not fresh and tended to be cold. Fruit juice was very watered down.

Fordeler: Very nice room. Very clean. Good location close to the train station. Very good value for money.

Ulemper: It was at the bottom of the hill, so it's quite a trek to the main attractions.

Fordeler: Sentralt ift. byens sentrum. Parkering for bil i garasje under hotellet.

Fordeler: Close to center

Ulemper: Not a clearly visible parking entrance from the street. Thank goodness for GPS, I would have passed the hotel.

Fordeler: Lovely traditional building - lots of space - good facilities - clean - friendly staff

Ulemper: HOWEVER - this is a student area and they partied all night right outside the hostel - until dawn - and this is January! The noise was incessant and then there was pissing in the street outside!

Fordeler: We changed to an in-suite doble room and the hostel standard increased significantly. Better isolation, heaters available and really comfy bed.

Ulemper: It is fine if you don't have to use shared bathrooms, not for hygiene or cleanliness, but for low temperature and lack of proper isolation of the space.

Fordeler: Really good placement to visit Coimbra.

Ulemper: We visited it on December. Showers were together at bottom level and in this area were not any heat source or equipment to warm the room, so was hard to take a proper shower. Water was hot and fine, but atmosphere really cold. Some rooms without heater were also not really comfortable and a bit cold also.

Fordeler: Staff were very welcoming and the location was great with parking right outside which is what I needed this time. Showers were a plenty as long as you don't mind going to the basement for them. All in all a nice stay

Ulemper: They advertise soundproofing but, honestly, if i didn't have ear plugs I would have lost a lot of sleep due to the neighbouring bar chucking bottles out late at night and people playing some game on the square until long after i went to bed, also very loud doors throughout the hostel and just my roommates on the first night woke me up several times even with ear plugs. Definitely loud bangy rooms! Also they specifically say that WiFi works in all areas but it definitely doesn't work on the top floor where a lot of rooms are. It wouldn't bother me but they actually advertise it!! But i stayed an extra night as it was a comfortable bed and it was low season so when my roommates left i ended up with a dorm to myself. The breakfast was good except the coffee, it is what you expect for the price, but the kitchen not brilliantly equipped although theres enough to make a meal with

Fordeler: Friendly and helpful staff, spacious bunk beds, clean and comfortable room, fully equipped kitchen, sufficient breakfast and convenient location. Great value!

Ulemper: Only downside is the bathrooms/showers. Could be cleaner and better to have one on the same floor as the room.

Fordeler: The staff were so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog

Ulemper: There was nothing we didn't like

Fordeler: This hotel has a great location. If you have a vehicle, they have valet parking which is so convenient. The staff were very helpful & the rooftop bar offers great views and the opportunity to mingle with other hotel guests.

Ulemper: Nothing

Fordeler: Nice hotel next to the center of the city. Big free parking and they take care of your car themselves. Good service, nice rooftop bar with good local beer.

Fordeler: It is 5-6 mins from the main walking street.

Ulemper: Had to turn in the room key every time we go out

Fordeler: Very convenient location

Ulemper: Rooms should have a minibar or at least 2 bottles of water

Fordeler: Super staff, great location, parking.

Ulemper: The coffee machines for breakfast were not good. One ground beans per cup but produced a weak, lukewarm mix, the other was Nescafe. The cups and milk were cold.

Fordeler: Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Great location.

Ulemper: Room too small.

Fordeler: The staff were super friendly and the rooftop lounge area was great, with a wonderful view!! Too bad the weather wasn't warm enough in the evening to really enjoy it.

Ulemper: The room was entirely too small and the noise from the street was loud. The TV was also very tiny.

Fordeler: God seng. Midt i sentrum. Herlig frokost!

Ulemper: Vi oppgraderte rommet til et med balkong. Hadde vært hyggelig med et lite kjøleskap og kaffekoker.

Fordeler: Helpful and friendly staffs!! They are the best.

Ulemper: It was a bit empty

Fordeler: This is a hostel, in a historic building. The breakfast is small, but had all the basics. We had a room with our own bathroom, which was very nice. Sadly due to the covidvirus , Coimbra is empty of university students and tourists. The building is historic. It seems that it use to be a home for mother's and babies.

Ulemper: N/A

Fordeler: Beautiful rooms, great breakfast , great location and incredibly nice and helpful staff !

Fordeler: The staff is gentle and genuinely tries to help with whatever questions you may have. The place is historical itself and greatly located, just in front of the Old Cathedral. The rooms are simply decorated but well furbished.

Ulemper: Ok breakfast. Don't expect more than the normal american coffee, cheap tea, some buns, the possibility of a toast, some cereal and milk. Ants in the room. Expect to hear blowdriers and other similar sounds even if you book a double room, as the rooms are not as soundproof as you may expect and read about.

Fordeler: Vakkert hotell fra Art Deco-tid.

Fordeler: The history of the place was intriguing. I loved the vintageness and decor. Very warm and welcoming.

Ulemper: The WiFi was poor in the rooms. It was a bit noisy at night.

Fordeler: Frokosten var god. Hotellet var en tidskapsel fra funkistiden. God beliggenhet nær gamlebyen, universitetet og stasjonen. Stille rom og god seng.

Ulemper: I arbeidssammenheng må nettet bare fungere, selv i dagligstuen var det usikkert. TV'en hadde en enkelt portugisisk kanal. Litt mangel på strømuttak, moderne reisende har en rekke behov for lading. Rommet var enkelt utstyrt.

Fordeler: Location

Ulemper: Loud music until 3-4am from two neighboring night clubs! We were on the 5th floor with close windows and still couldn't sleep. Older receptions staff required paperwork. No other hotels asked me for one.

Fordeler: A very historical and authentic place with great breakfast and very friendly staff. Location is perfect to walk around the city. Great stay overall!

Ulemper: Water pressure in the top floor was a bit less than perfect. But not a problem at all.

Fordeler: Excellent location, very good breakfast, nice view of the river.

Ulemper: Terrible sound insulation between room and next room bathroom.

Fordeler: Really cool vintage hotel.

Ulemper: The mattresses were so thin, it's like they didn't exist.

Fordeler: It is something your parents would’ve thought really nice 50 years ago. Make it 75 years ago. Although the Art deco Decour appears original it has been well-maintained.

Ulemper: It is a prime candidate for a major redo and have shiny 4 stars. There is a certain “aroma“ that shows it’s age.

Fordeler: Central location on river yards from station. Balcony overlooking busy road and river and views beyond. Yards from shops, cafes, historical sites. Beautiful lift with bench. Breakfasts really good, and open till 10am. Shame about the constant rain during 5 days in late Feb/early March.

Ulemper: Very old and tired. Only 4 tv channels. No tea or coffee facilities in our room. Furniture a bit saggy in lounge.

Fordeler: The beds were very uncomfortable.

Ulemper: Rooms were threadbare.

Fordeler: Everything was nice..... Large room, very good breakfast, free parking... it looks more like a 4-star hotel. Has a nice view over the city center.

Ulemper: City center is a little bit far for walking. Need a car or taxi... Shower in the bath tube is never a good idea !

Fordeler: Quiet location, good parking, very comfortable bed. We were only passing through, so it was perfect for us.

Ulemper: Furniture is a bit worn, no kettle in the room. Rooms are pretty basic.

Fordeler: Breakfast, location, cleanliness, parking, grounds and garden around the hotel.

Ulemper: Noise. There is no soundproofing. We had to change the room due to excessive noise from room above us (impact and dragging of furniture on floor).

Ulemper: The hotel has to update the bathrooms.

Fordeler: Breakfast was OK, the usual selections,

Ulemper: small irritation, toaster was switched off since it is cold the bread would go through through machine (even at the slowest speed), will come out luke warm, the monet the bread would come out, stuff member will turn off het on the machine and you need to start process all over again. You really need to hug the toaster to get the job done, juices are not fresh, tea/cofee machine temperamental

Fordeler: Great views, inexpensive, nice breakfast

Ulemper: No charm, car needed. Shuttle infrequent in October.

Fordeler: This hotel has a great location for the city. Has all transportation available to the door. There are many local restaurants nearby. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Coimbra for any event.

Ulemper: Even though the place was very clean, it need some refurbishing of the floors and the lobby. Since this is the first image of the place, I believe it can be improved.

Fordeler: Best location in front of train station and close to city center. Private room and bathroom at a great price! They also hold your baggage after check out if you still have things to see before leaving town which was really nice. There’s also daily 24hr front desk service:)

Ulemper: Bathroom was tiny, but great for the price of privacy. The credit card machine didn’t work and I had to pay with the little cash that I had. I didn’t have any other problems with my card throughout Portugal, so they might want to check on their international credit card services. I was only staying one night so it was ok. Be ready for some stairs, no elevator.

Fordeler: Room was clean, AC made it warm in no time. TV worked.

Ulemper: Bathroom was a bit small.

Fordeler: Location is great!

Ulemper: They didn’t have even the shower working properly. Too old ; needs improvements everywhere. Not a place to recommend or to be again. Even for 1 night you cam find somewhere else with a short budget.

Fordeler: Great location, close to everything. Very clean, filling breakfast if you want to eat before you explore.

Ulemper: The local neighbors were a little noisy, but they were quiet by bedtime.

Fordeler: Location was great, and the room was comfortable and clean. All the hosts were incredibly nice and sweet.

Ulemper: Breakfast could've been a bit better.

Fordeler: Easy check in. Rooms are basic but for the night we stayed it was perfect.

Fordeler: The building was beautiful, and very central location! The bedroom was spacious and comfortable! Decent breakfast

Fordeler: The location was great, a bit outside of the center but with a beautiful view and 15min walking distance to most main attractions. The room was light, spacious and clean. Simple but very pleasant.

Ulemper: The coffee at breakfast was very bad - instant coffee from a machine. Too bad, as breakfast itself was nice,

Fordeler: Great breakfast, clean facilities, cozy areas, excellent location to sightsee and great staff

Fordeler: Awesome breakfast included, nice bed and rooms. Everything was extremely clean and functioning
