Friendly staff I think the hotel could improve by being more adventurous with the evening meals/ cooking ie try to go more upmarket and develop as a restaurant with rooms, source products locally. Start small with say fish and build up. Take pride and be better than your local competition. The bed in the room we stayed in wasn't good enough,- start improving decor room by room invest in good beds. Don't ask diners if the meal was alright, you should know it is - personal opinion!
good accommodation, good food, pleasant hosts, recomended
Cosy. Owners very charming and hospitable. Food choice, presentation and quality very good.Friendly company. Its more a B&B or small Guest House than a hotel. Our twin bedroom very small and we were concerned about inadequacy of fire escape should the central stairwell become impassable. Think small before you arrive and you wont be disappointed.
Ideal for our requirements - quiet, relaxed, good service, good food, near to our destination no
Hotel staff friendly and helpful Single room was very cramped
The two sisters were lovely and the outside seating area was good.
Fiona made the best porridge I have ever tasted.
Friendly. Showers ok. Not geared for walkers (Kintyre Way). No hot water ready for a bath. Few hooks; no facilities for drying clothes. Rooms a shade cramped. Charged for tea on arrival instead of being shown to rooms where it would have been free!
Service and Food Very Cold room and hotel (February !) and very small
