Service in the Face of Adversity
Fordeler: Everyone was helpful and friendly, as usual, which is why I keep coming back to Enterprise. I had a bit of an issue (completely my fault), but I got excellent assistance in resolving the problem. I'm fairly confident that with a lesser company, my idiocy would have turned into a nightmare, but the problem was managed with practiced grace and expertise.
Ulemper: I selected a car that didn't zoom up mountains very easily, but I'm glad the car was small since the streets were narrow (I drove it through the tiny streets to the doorstep of Catedral de Santa María de la Sede).

Ulemper: At the check-in I was informed that as the rental was done via a USA based agency and that I was using an EU based credit card and drivers licence , that I was Absolutely OBLIGED to take their full insurance... otherwise the rental would not be honored. This despite I already have a good policy with both my own car and via my gold credit card. The insurance was more than the rental. I feel lied to by Kayak , Europcar, and whatever middle-man you sub-contracted via.

Hired a 4x4, got a 2wd. Absolutely shocked.
Fordeler: I specifically hired a 4x4 as I was heading to the mountains to ski. I received a jeep Suv that appears to be a 4x4, but was in fact only 2wd. It was also on cheap aftermarket tyres. The vehicle was utterly incapable and could not even make it up an icy road to the accommodation, and later got stuck in a hotel car park. The pick up was delayed by an hour while i waited around too. I am awaiting a compete refund for this booking.

Hired a 4x4, got a 2wd. Absolutely shocked.

Ulemper: Pickup was in Barcelona Airport. The price per day that you book via Kayak does not include a bonus fee (for me it was an airport tax + 25 euros = 28 euros) for rentals. Additionally, I returned and a difficult-to-see dent in the side of the car was blamed on me. It was so small and difficult to see that I cannot say whether it was there when I rented the car. I am now in legal proceedings with them over the issue.
