i really liked the location of the hostel because there was a metro and a tram station nearby and that was really helpful for me. i didn't like very much the breakfast.
We enjoyed the international atmosphere of young people and the pleasent staff in the bar and in the reception. Not the hotel as such, but it really annoys me when some spoilt brats from "over there" think they can occupy the Internet terminals on the 3rd floor for hours on end when there are people waiting.
It's a great place to stay for young people. It's clean, modern style furnished, friendly and fun. At the same time there is enough of privacy because floors with the rooms are separate from the floors with bar, reception or kitchen. There are free really safe lockers in the room. The breakfast is pretty good. And I liked the people there. The citi centre is about 30 min walking or 8 min by metro. And I had a great view to the torre from my window. So it's a place to come definitly! You need to take your iron with you couse there is only one there and may be you will not be the first in the morning=)
The hostel is at a good location, convenient to take trains. But I wasn't like the reception girl. She was cold and rude to me. My room was directly face to elevator. During the night, it was so noisy with the Ding Dong sound of elevator and people's voice, laughing, talking. I couldn't fall into sleep until 2 or 3 am. If you want to stay, try ask for one room which isn't directly fact to elevator.
kitchen dirty, flea in our first room, at the reception they don't know anything about the city and about the hotel! the gym is well equipped, it's a club outside
Super Clean facilities... very close to the Sagrada Familia Church. The lockers are pretty big, that even your carry-on size bags can easily fit in them. Free Breakfast and prices at the bar are very reasonable too!
The room did't clean and have not sufficient light in bathroom. Laggage locker cannot real use, need to improve.
In-room security was excellent, as was the rooftop bar The 4-bed dorm room was very cramped compared to other hostels.
the rooms were very clean and tidy. air con was great too, as the temp at night can be hard to sleep in but for the 5 days i stayed i slept great! staff were very helpful and answered all questions the best they could. the kitchen was great to perpare your own food to keep the cost of ur hoilday down. def a very good hostle :) i stayed in 2 different rooms at my time in the hostle and the locks on both the bathroom doors were broke.
Barcelona Urbany Hostel is very nice place to stay, it has good location, close to the Clot metro, and it's just 1 stop away from Arca de triomf, olso it's just 10-15 min walk to Sagrada de Familia. The gym, swimming pool and Sauna helped us relax after long day of walking and sightseeing. Breakfast was nice, and from terrace at canteen is perfect view to Torre Agbar. we raelly enjoyed it!
Friendly staff, good location, value for money. Functional distance from room to bathroom and toilet
i thought it was okey, good price with a smal breakfast in the price, near to the beach and metro station, far to the bathroom,
Remember this is a hostel not a 5* hotel. Basic facilities but convenient for the town centre via the excellent transport system. Friendly people but they left you alone if you wanted privacy. Most important - receptionists are on the wavelength of the traveller. Unusual to have breakfast without plates so you had to eat rolls off a napkin. That's only minor.
There was a lot to like about the Hostel. The fact it was almost directly opposite a tube-station on a line which also goes to the centre made it the perfect compromise between quiet surroundings and accessibility to the city. The staff welcomed us when I arrived and gave us the full lowdown on surrounding businesses if we did not want to venture into the city at any one time. Going to the beach there was utterly brilliant, it was little used but had a life-guard right there, and the sea was beautilful. The twin-room was basically furnished but it had ample storage, the bed was really comfy and the air conditioning worked well which was a relief. The en-suite was also good. A very minor point but the shower seemed to work on a timed-basis, which was a little inconvenient, but I can see how it suit the dormed rooms, if not the two-person ones!
It was right across the street from a metro/subway station and not too far from the beach. The noisiness of the people at night. People seemed to stay up all night. It was like living in a college dorm with activity at all hours. We had people who were staying at the hostel sitting on the sidewalk in front of the hotel playing music and talking until 4am. We had to leave at 6am the next morning so we did not get any sleep that night.
It was the cheapest. That is all it has going for it. Where to start? 1) They charged a 5% fee for using credit cards 2) room look nothing like priceline photo 3) 1 little light bulb for entire room 4) fuse blew after plugging hairdryer 5) dirtier than the bathroom in a bus station
