Great hotel with comfortable rooms and beds. View from the room with the pool was amazing. The resort is like a little town and staff runs club cars to and from the rooms whenever you need to go to the main hotel building with restaurants. Dinning options are limited specially when the Greek restaurant was closed for dinner both nights we were there.
I really liked the room, hotel location, responsive staff, excellent breakfast, fitness room and an instructor, a spa center, clean rooms I did not like eating in restaurants la carte, wine list is scant. The fitness room average weight dumbbells. The spa is very difficult to choose a program, since it is absent Annotated. When booking at the hotel indicated the presence of ironing boards and irons in every room but on arrival they had not been! Had to call and ask, brought later. Also at the hotel site says that the pool in a room with heating, but it turned out that he is the same as sea water, in our case it was very cold, while the sun was not our side.
Very nice hotel little bit out of town but provide you with luxury of nice room with private pool and great views If you travell to crete than this is a place to stay for a couple of days none and that is rare for me :)
The location of the hotel is great, the rooms are very relaxing, the hotel staff is very kindly
great experience;a very nice location with spectacular panorama, many facilities for relaxing, good restaurants and all you need for a wonderful vacation.
The service was out standing and we were upgraded to a room with a pool. Keep in mind this was in October and the weather was changing and it is a slow time of the year. We ate at the blue door, an outdoor café on the beach and the food was out standing. There breakfast buffet was out standing from Champaign to custom omelets. We also took a short walk to the next town, Plaka, for dinner and it was excellent and right on the beach also.
The location is exquisite with luxury and relaxation on tap. The beach is very private with swimming and watersports readily available
Mostly the location. They misrepresent the type and standard of the rooms for expample we reserved a bungalo. But what they call a bungalo is simply an ordinary double room and that we absolutely did not appreciate. And therefore would not return.
quait situation, view and location big diferens beetwin prises on food in hotel and outside
The staff were friendly, safety, the Italian restaurant was exellent. The location of the hotel is a little isolated, to go to the nearst town takes about 10 menutes by car. So,it is not convinient for those who like to go out. Also the concierge service is not accurate.
peaceful, quiet, good place to relax 1.The greek restaurant should have a cover for the raining days; 2.The rooms should have acoustic insulation; 3. Should have more variety of fruits at breakfast; L'orangerie restaurant is not good for the price, the service is uncoordinated and bad.
The staff were extremely friendly and polite and the room was fantastic Only that our plunge pool was too cold to use
The room was really nice and the different accomodations (3 swimming pool and the fitness center free) The 5 restaurants were really poor comparing to the price they applied. The quality of food for a 5 stars hotel were really average and the price really expensive. The blue door restaurant was nice but sometimes I thought we had frozen food. The restaurants in Elounda (the town next door) were much more nicer than the one in the hotels.
View from room, breakfast, beach and swimming area
Excellent place ! Much better than Elounda best hotels. Staff very helpful and kind. Very good cuisine. Beautiful design, quality facilities. Despite size of ca 250 rooms you feel like in a boutique hotel. Worth to come. Spa is rather dull: not to this hotel standard and undesftaffed.
Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere with extremely attentive staff.
we like location & beach, sea was on 5 *, massages & stuff in spa was good as well. Service very poor, nobody on arrival told us about brackfast area, or even facilities... lift to beach & restaraunts was terrible (hot without conditioner) and there is no other way... Spa was quite old & threadbare not for 5* hotel..
resort-like hotel perched upon the mountainside overlooking a stunning little bay outside Istron, beach at 2 minutes walk down a stairs among ficus trees and bushes. Free parking, pools, minimarket. Friendly staff, got offered a bottle of wine by the night-watcher to apologize for forgetting our wake-up call:) paid 68eur/night Food at the dinner buffet (12 eur) and breakfast wasn't so good (very fast food like). Wifi is not free (cheap though, 90min/5eur)
the quality of breakfast/dinner was very poor
Distance from the beach Quality of breakfast
The beach and the surrounding area were beautiful. The grounds were also very nice. My children loved the pool outside our room. The pools were all seawater.
Both public/private pools were freezing. Also, I was told by mgmt that a] the pool was heated to 27degrees(and that they double checked it) and b] they only heat the pool in the "off season" - which August clearly is peak season, so this outright contradiction I found to be offensive, and I don't like being lied to like this. This is not 5 star service. After 3 days our pool warmed up some and was finally usable, but we weren't able to use it for half of our trip, which was why we selected this destination to begin with. Also, first 2 days were no service bec they were having a wedding next door and sent all the staff there, so we were with trainees and short staff - not impressed! But did get better/nice exp when pool temp & staff were back
pricey but lovely, excellent service, great choice for first trip to Greece/Crete, fantastic location, many activities
They are great Nothing
