Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is one of Shanghai's two major airports.
Prior to the construction of Shanghai Pudong International Airport in 1999, Hongqiao International Airport operated as Shanghai's main international airport. Hongqiao International Airport is located in the western suburbs of Shanghai, situated about 13 kilometers from the center of the city. The terminal at Hongqiao International Airport consists of 15 waiting halls, 18 VIP lounge, and 15 luggage conveying belts. Currently, Hongqiao International Airport accommodates approximately 300 aircraft movements or more every day. The airlines which operate out of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport include Air China, All Nippon Airways, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Deer Air, Hainan Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Shanghai Airlines Shenzhen Airlines, Spring Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines.
Directions to Shanghai Airport
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located 8 miles southwest of the center of Shanghai. Hongqiao Lu Road is a continuation of the Yanan Road, which is the primary east-west street in Shanghai, connecting Hongqiao Special Zone with Pudong New District while dividing the city into south and northern portions. Hongqiao Lu is the only primary major road with connections to the airport. A highway is currently being constructed to help ease congestion.

There is one main terminal with in Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. Two concourses, designated as A and B make up the terminal.
