Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, America's Friendliest Airport®, is located in the heart
of the southwestern United States and is one of the ten busiest airports in the United States.
Eighteen airlines provide more than 100 daily non-stop flights out of Sky Harbor to domestic and
international destinations, with connecting service to anywhere in the world. Customer service
amenities include three Pet Parks, a consolidated Rental Car Center and a unique audio and
visual passenger-paging system. More than 300 volunteer Navigators serve throughout the
airport, answering questions and welcoming visitors. Sky Harbor was launched in 1935 and today
is part of the Phoenix Airport System, which also includes Deer Valley and Goodyear airports.
With the Smoke Free Arizona legislation effective May 1, 2007, most of Sky Harbor is smoke-
free. However, there are plenty of options for those who need to light up. There are two smoking
areas around Terminal 2, four smoking areas around Terminal 3, and seven smoking areas
around Terminal 4.
There are three terminals at Sky Harbor International Airport: Terminals 2, 3, and 4. The terminals
are flanked by parking to the east and the west. There are shops, restaurants, and other services
at each terminal.
Sky Harbor provides a free shuttle bus connection to METRO light rail at 44th Street and
Washington. Beginning early 2013, the PHX Sky Train TM will transport passengers between
METRO light rail, East Economy Parking and Terminal 4, Sky Harbor's busiest terminal.
Terminal 2
Terminal 2, which is the furthest west, is served by four airlines: Alaska, Continental, Great
Lakes, and United. The terminal is just east of the west economy parking and features its own
short-term parking garage as well. Also located in Terminal 2 (on the mezzanine level) is the
USO, which is open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m; Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Terminal 3
Terminal 3 is the middle terminal, sandwiched between terminals 2 and 4. Seven airlines call
Terminal 3 home: AirTran, American, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Hawaiian, and Sun
Country. As with Terminal 2, you'll find a number of shops and restaurants. Terminal 3 also has a
dedicated short-term parking area, located just north of the terminal itself.
Terminal 4
Located on the east end of the airport, this terminal is just west of the east economy lots and has
its own dedicated short-term parking area just north of the terminal. Terminal 4 is Sky Harbor's
newest and largest terminal. It's the gateway to and from international destinations, and is served
by seven airlines for both international and domestic flights: Aeromexico, Air Canada, British
Airways, Southwest, USAirways and WestJet. Sky Harbor's Airport Museum Gallery is located in
this terminal.
